I Don’t Remember Craving That...

My appetite has changed a little since becoming pregnant. I haven't had any "cravings" (yet), however I read those will kick into overdrive during my second trimester (four more weeks to go!). There are a couple of foods I now like that I didn't used to care for such as pizza & chocolate. I know it's almost un-American not to have liked the two, but they just weren't my favs…and now I can't go a week without them! Besides the slight change in my diet (pizza & chocolate), I've been eating as healthy as I possibly can. I primarily try to eat turkey, grilled chicken, salad, whole grain cereal, skim milk, fruit & veggies. As delicious as that may sound, I read earlier in my pregnancy that “eating healthy is the best gift you can give you unborn child” - so that's what I've been trying to do. Although at times it difficult to eat, I know it's the ONLY thing that will make me feel better. I just have to keep reminding myself, even though I may not be hungry someone else is!

eating healthy is great for mom too- my philosophy while pregnant- "The less unhealthy weight I put on, the less I have to take off!"

I'd have to agree with Sammye on this. I DID not eat healthy at ALL. I mean, I lived on cheeseburgers, casa (in Richmond) and ice cream and the weight i gained proved it! Of course, the 30 lbs of water weight from the swelling added some too. Anyway, it's gonna be a hard journey to get back to my old body...but I'll be there again. Don't make the same mistakes I did. I started weight watchers last Monday and I've already shedded 7 lbs!
