The Interviewing Process Is Over!

Tonight Dave & I met Tammy McCloud, an at home daycare provider who my sister recommended to us (she also takes care of my nephew Ross). Recently Dave & I been interviewing potential daycare centers/at home providers to watch Patyon while we're at work. I can honestly say, it was a more difficult task than I had originally anticipated. I didn't realize the emotion I'd feel trying to find the perfect place/person to watch our little girl while we couldn't be with her.

After meeting Miss Tammy (as the kids call her), Dave & I both knew she was "the one". She is such a sweet lady and REALLY cares for the children she provides for. As we introduced ourselves, she had a upbeat and friendly personality that put me right to ease. Entering through her front door and into her kitchen she had pictures on the wall of all the kids she currently watches or has watched through the years (this said something to me - it showed me much she LOVES her kids/job). Tammy, handed us a packet of information (i.e., contract/rules), took us on a tour of her house and brought us into her living room to relax on the couch so we could ask any questions, go over the packet of information, and so she could give us some background information about herself. Tammy has such a great personality & sense of humor. Before we knew it, 2 hours had passed! Once I thought we asked all of our questions, I asked Dave if he had anything else or wanted to think it over...he replied "no". He was ready to put our deposit down (to hold Payton's spot until March) and so was I. I KNOW Payton will be happy there and I'm thrilled she'll be around her cousin, Ross!
