Payton's Face (you can even see her little eye lashes)
This week I'll be 33 weeks pregnant. Today Dave & I had an ultrasound & Dr.'s appointment. Most people only have one ultrasound (typically at 20 weeks), but b/c I’m carrying Payton so low (and b/c we wanted her grandparents to see Payton) Dr. Horlacher graciously enabled us to have an add’l appointment. It was nice having our parents there this time to share in the fun of seeing her move and watch her little heart beat! I must admit, I was shocked at how much she had grown since our last ultrasound 13 weeks prior. I was also shocked once I saw her ultrasound pictures. At 20 weeks we could make out everything perfectly (i.e., her hands, feet, eyes, etc.), this time it was way more difficult to tell what was what. I later found out the larger a baby gets, the more difficult features are to see. Regardless, it was still amazing to see her! We even saw her little mouth moving like she was talking to us. Of course, Dave made several jokes about her loving to talk just like her Mommy! It wasn’t a shocker to me, I knew a baby conceived by Dave & I could never be quiet or shy – LOL! :)
