Today I'm exactly 37 weeks. Unintentionally, I have taken a few days off from blogging (time has just slipped away). However, recently there have been a couple major Payton developments that I wanted to share. First, Dave & I found out on Monday that I'm going to be induced in a week (Monday, Jan. 12). We're thrilled!!! We can't wait for Payton to arrive in just 5 days!!! Secondly, Dr. Horlacher has insisted I stop working and relax before Payton arrives. When he suggested I do so it wasn't a total surprise to me. I knew I was fighting the inevitable when at my last appt. (about a week and a half ago) he wanted to write me off work due to the strain she's physically taking on my body with carrying her so low, getting sick to my stomach and having contractions. As usual, I was being stubborn and wasn't ready to give into his request b/c I had some essential work items left to complete. What can I say...I'm such a loyal LN employee! :)
Today was my first day of maternity leave. It was strange not being at work, but nice to stay home and rest. Today I think I asked Dave approximately five times what the date was (LOL!). It's difficult to keep track of the days when I'm not continuously looking at my calendar to check out my "to-do list", see what meetings I have, etc. Just to let everyone know, I am no longer able to log into my LN account.
